WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN SELECTING A DECK CLEANING COMPANY
Do you know what to look for when searching for a quality fence cleaning service? Consider the following: Safety Considerations, Methods & Techniques, and Competitive Pricing.
When considering hiring an individual or company to clean your deck, the first order of business should always be to verify they have proper insurance in place. We include a copy of our General Liability Insurance with every estimate.
Depending on the construction material of your deck, you’ll want to ensure the individual or company has the right equipment. Our van and trailer combination includes high-end, professional gear for both soft-washing and pressure washing.
Finally, ask for references. We encourage all potential clients to review our client feedback and gallery photographs.
Upon interviewing an individual or company, ask about their methods and techniques.
Depending on certain conditions, we’ll utilize either a cold-water, soft-washing approach or use a surface-cleaner with restricted nozzle tips to safely remove organic matter such as earth, algae, or mold. Any non-organic matter such as paint or stain, for example, that’s been oversprayed can be remedied through a number of techniques. When preparing a deck for fresh paint or stain, we’ll use a high-pressure process to effectively remove any existing paint or stain.
You’ll likely find an individual with a pressure-washer and a pick-up truck to give you the lowest-estimate. If price is the only concern, then by all means hire that person. Just remember they’re likely uninsured; they probably won’t show up; their vehicle may leak oil in the driveway; they won’t be properly trained; so-on and so-forth.
We’ve invested tens-of-thousands of dollars into professional equipment and have a legitimate business to maintain – and we’re almost certainly not going to be the lowest-priced company in town. But our pricing is transparent and should be reasonably competitive. Our goal is to make a living, not a killing – and be here year after year to service your property.
